In contrast GCC states have expanded significantly with KSA and UAE leading in AI campus developments. Middle East investment in African data centers is accelerating rapidly, with market reports suggesting more than $15 billion in new investment expected to flow into upcoming data centres across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) by 2027. Investment is driven by AI, cloud adoption, and sovereign digital growth strategies, with Middle Eastern investors leveraging competitive land and energy costs, regional development banks, and policy incentives.
